Separated parents and legal matters

It is quite common for separated parents to have their first experience of the law post separation. This is a time when often people feel vulnerable, and anxious, therefore navigating the legal environment can be a confusing and fearful time. If this is how you are feeling, you are not alone. Below we have listed two resources which are available now in our resource section for you to download.

Resource 1—Legal advice and legal information.

In this resource we outline the difference between the two, and provide some ideas on how you might find a starting point in navigating this.

Resource 2—Tips for maximising your legal advice.

We provide de-identified case scenarios about questions that would be helpful to ask the lawyers when you do obtain legal advice.

For those outside of Australia, if there is something you would like us to research, let us know and we will seek to expand our resources for those from other countries.
